What’s the worst that can happen?

I tend to worry a lot.

From worrying about missing my bus, to worrying that I can’t find a job after I graduate.

In order to combat this habit, I ask a simple question;

“What’s the worst that can happen?”

This question may be scary to ask, but it will put your situation into perspective.

Once you ask it, plan for it.

If I miss the bus, the worst thing that’s going to happen is that I’ll need to wait another hour for the next one.

“I’ll sit on that chair and read this book for the next hour”.

“Then, I’ll call this person and tell them I’m going to be late”.

There, no need to worry anymore.

Most of the time, the worst-case scenario isn't actually that bad. You may have to deal with some inconveniences, but you're probably going to be fine.

Now it's your turn.

What are you worried about? And what's the worst thing that'll happen if it comes true?
