Focus. It’s important not only while working, but while resting too.

We can choose to relax and sit with our thoughts, to 'stop and smell the roses' once in a while.

If we instead choose to distract ourselves by filling the time with a mundane activity, we rob ourselves of mini opportunities to reflect on our current mood and mental state.

No need to watch Netflix while eating.

No need to watch TikTok while walking.

And there’s definitely no need to scroll Instagram before sleeping.

Use this time in between activities to have some quiet time. Push back against the urge to mindlessly check your phone, or surf the web.

While it may be uncomfortable to implement at the start, you may find that your best ideas and epiphanies happen far more often during these minutes of rest in between your day.

Because if we constantly distract ourselves in between every single task, how are we supposed to allow our subconscious to think through problems or come up with novel ideas?
