Say no

Distractions are all around us, and they come in many forms.

The unread emails in your inbox, the friend who needs help moving, and even the client who has already asked for 8 revisions on a project but wants 'just one more little change'.

These distractions prevent us from doing our most important work.

The thing is, there’s no way of getting rid of them completely.

We can beat around the bush all day long, but sometimes we just need to put our foot down and say no.

If we don't allow ourselves to have adequate time and energy to do important work, how will we ever get anything meaningful done?

Close the door.

Put on your headphones.

Turn off your phone.

And do your most important work.

Decide on your non-negotiables and abide by them.

Because if you don’t set your own priorities, someone else will.
