It's okay to quit

We like to think that the decisions we make are permanent and lasting.

We pick a hobby, a dream job, or a 'true calling in life' and stick to our decision forever, thinking that our choice is now set in stone. But in reality, this isn’t the case.

We’re all human, which means we are constantly growing and evolving, shaped by the thoughts and experiences we have each day.

With this logic, it’s easier to understand that we also change our interests and hobbies. You don’t need to force yourself to keep doing something you’re not enjoying anymore; whether it be painting landscapes in your backyard, or a diet you're quickly getting sick of.

There’s always an option to change things up from time to time and try something new.

So the next time you’re thinking of quitting, or when you’re feeling pressured to do something you ‘enjoy’, ask yourself this: Am I doing this because I feel like I have to, or am I doing this because I want to?
