Is gear important?

Yes it is. But it’s the last step in our journey of improvement.

What is often overlooked (and often avoided) is hard work and consistency.

For most people, it’s a lot easier to buy new things instead of sitting down and doing the work to truly improve.

And that’s when buying gear becomes a problem.

Buying a camera doesn’t make you a better photographer. Taking more photos will.

Buying a guitar doesn't make you a better guitarist. Practising for hours a day will.

Buying fancy boxing gloves doesn't make you a better boxer. Training harder and pushing yourself will.

Once your skillset has outgrown your tools, then upgrade.
