I’m not sure, could you give me a bit more context?

No I’m not going to tell you, just guess!

But what topic or theme is this about?

It doesn’t matter, just guess!

Uh, Dinosaurs are still alive?

What, no of course not.

Bill Gates is using an iPhone?

Well, maybe, I don’t know. Keep guessing!

The Earth is in fact, totally flat? That would be somewhat noteworthy.

What the heck are you on about?

(Confused) Why are you getting mad at me, you’re the one who told me to guess!

_______

I cannot begin to tell you how many times this has happened to me.

The term ‘guess what’ is stupid (in my opinion). It can only be used when there has already been a previously discussed topic or quickly followed up by some level of context.

It wastes time, increases my stress level (because I hate surprises), and makes me extremely confused. I tend to get confused easily.

‘Guess what’ is slowly becoming one of my pet peeves, and I fear it may only get worse from here.

It’s alright to use the expression followed by a specific topic, such as “guess what I’m baking in the oven?” At least this sentence has extra information for the recipient to take a more educated guess.

Thanks for reading another rant. Also it’s my birthday, so please feel free to not wish me and go about your day. See you tomorrow!
