What’s the real issue here?

I want to buy a new suit.

Why?

So that I can look more presentable to my boss and coworkers.

Why?

Because I want to be taken seriously.

Why?

Because I feel like nobody respects me at work.

Why?

Because I don’t even respect myself.

So the real issue here isn’t buying suit, it’s a lack of confidence and self esteem.

Buying a suit isn’t going to change this feeling.

Fix the problem, not the symptom.
