But why?

We all make fun of the kid who keeps asking the question 'why?'

“Why is the sky blue?”

“Why does it rain?”

“ok that's cool… but why?”

Although it has the reputation of being used mostly by children, it may just be my favourite word in the English language.

It’s a one syllable word that you don’t need to put any effort in to ask, yet it has the ability to force a person’s mental cogs to kick into gear to answer the straight forward question.

The word knows no boundaries. You can ask the question in almost any context to almost anyone you come in contact with, even yourself.

We should all be asking the question ‘why’ more; we may just find the answer to the seemingly complex problems in our lives.
